OUR STORY
A FARM HAS BEEN PART OF WEST HOUSE FOR 100'S OF YEARS
We are big believers in keeping things local and are very proud to have built a location that has given the opportunity to small businesses run by local people
West House Farm is made up of a distinctive house along with stone outbuildings, nestled in the peaceful Polden Hills. Starting out as a beautiful Victorian farm in a charming English village of Chilton Polden, the property has had many uses over the years. From blood house in the war to commercial distribution premises in more recent years, West House and the farm is a property owned by a family who have been in the village for generations. Parts of the main house are still privately lived in while other parts, barns and outbuildings have been opened up to support the small and local business, activities & cafe shown here.
Today we still have a small holding of animals at the farm. These are available for you to stop by and say hello from the other side of the fence. We have some very cheeky pygmy goats named Murph & Cindy, some more serious Alpacas named Flower & Petal. Donkeys are called Big Patch and Little Patch, Pigs, Sheep and more. If you are lucky our very tame and friendly red deer will wander over to say hi, as long as our full size goat Bruno doesn't beat her to it.
